Gold guilloché full hunter pocket watch

A French 18 carat yellow gold hunting cased quarter repeating keyless monogrammed pocket watch made by Breguet, circa 1893. The watch was sold on 18 February 1893 to Madame Max for 1,000 francs. The case of this watch features a guilloché design on both front and back with rays of glory, is monogrammed E.M. and has a bowl engraved with Breguet. It has a slide on the case band for striking. The white enamel dial displays Roman numeral hour markers, a painted minute track, small seconds at 6 o’clock, and blued steel spade hands.

The watch is powered by a mechanical movement with an anker escapement, a compensated bimetallic balance, a blued steel Breguet spiral and two hammers on a gong. It is wound via a pendant system. The case is signed and numbered. It comes with its original case, also monogrammed E.M., signed Breguet, 12, rue de la Paix, Paris, and numbered.
