A large Swiss 14 carat rose gold quarter repeating keyless astronomical pocket watch, circa 1900. With a chronograph, triple date calendar and moon phases. A solid, polished case, front with an applied gold monogram. Hinged gold cuvette engraved with the prize medals and technical details over a glazed gold-rimmed cover (glass broken) to view the movement. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer tachometer scale, subsidiary dials for the seconds, date, days of the week, months and aperture for the moon phases and gilt Louis XV hands. Frosted gilt movement, 21 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by push-button on the band. Numbered on the case.
