A fine Swiss 18 carat yellow gold full hunter pocket watch with quarter repeating complication, circa 1900. It has a premier grade column wheel mechanical crown winding movement with a 32 jewel straight line lever escapement. This features a double roller, a Breguet overcoil hairspring, and a twin hammer strike mechanism striking on gongs. It is inscribed Répétition à Quarts Chronographe Ancre Ligne Droite Spiral Breguet Double Plateau 32 Rubis and numbered on the inner protective cuvette. The white enamel dial features black Roman numerals for the hours, a fine outer minute track with Arabic numerals for the afternoon hours (13-24), a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, and gold Louis XV style hands.

The timepiece is housed in a substantial and heavy round three body, 18 carat solid yellow gold full hunter case. This case has a smooth, plain, polished spring hinged front cover and a matching smooth, polished reverse back cover. It includes an integrated coaxial push button within the winding crown, a sliding lever along the caseband to activate the repeating chime, a fluted winding crown, a sturdy round suspension bow, and a solid 18 carat gold inner protective cuvette. This cuvette is beautifully hand engraved with the movement specifications and features four detailed exhibition prize medals alongside the serial number.
