Gold open faced keyless lever watch
–
A fine Swiss 18 carat yellow and white gold open faced pocket watch made by Rolex and retailed by Asprey in London, early 20th century. This watch features a Class A certified keyless nickel lever movement, signed Rolex and inscribed OBSERVATORY QUALITY / CLASS A CERTIFIED. The high grade calibre includes jewelled end stops, a compensated balance wheel, and an overcoil hairspring. The matte silvered Art Deco dial shows black Arabic numerals for the hours, a fine outer minute track, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, and sleek black hands, signed Asprey & Rolex and inscribed OBSERVATORY QUALITY.

The timepiece is housed in a stylish round three body, 18 carat solid yellow and white gold open faced case with a yellow gold reverse back cover featuring an engraved monogram. It opens to a perlage finished inner caseback stamped with Rolex Swiss hallmarks. The watch is accompanied by a matching two tone gold chain, a fluted winding crown, a suspension bow, a small protective leather pouch, and its original red leather fitted Asprey presentation box.
