Gold keyless watch in a mahogany presentation box

A very fine and rare, small Swiss 18 carat yellow gold and enamel two train trip minute repeating pocket watch made by Patek Philippe in Geneva, circa 1900. Keyless watch with a button in the crown. Accompanied by the original mahogany fitted box, a certificate and two spare mainsprings. A polished case, the back cover decorated with a royal blue translucent champlevé enamel foliate monogram. Hinged gold cuvette.

White enamel dial with black Breguet hours, an outer minute track, red Arabic five minute numerals, subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock and gold Louis XVI hands. Rhodium plated movement with Geneva striping decoration, tandem winding, 24 jewels, a counterpoised and calibrated straight line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring and swan neck micrometre regulator, repeating the hours, quarter hours and minutes with two hammers on two gongs activated by depressing a button in the crown. Dial, case and movement signed.
