Gold hunting cased keyless lever watch
–
A fine Swiss 18 carat yellow gold full hunter pocket watch made by Juvenia, circa 1910. It has a high grade mechanical crown winding gilded brass movement with a lever escapement, compensation balance wheel, precision regulator, and polished steel screws, signed Juvenia and numbered on the bridges. The white enamel dial, also signed Juvenia, features black Breguet numerals for the hours, a fine outer minute track, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, and blued steel Breguet hands (The second hand and hour hand are missing).
–
The timepiece is housed in a round threebody, 18 carat solid yellow gold full hunter case. Both covers are masterfully chased and engine turned, with a radiating sunburst pattern framed by Art Nouveau floral garlands and foliate scrollwork. The front cover centres a plain oval vacant cartouche and features a fluted winding crown, a sturdy round suspension bow, and a solid 18 carat gold inner protective cuvette, signed Juvenia.

Juvenia, founded in 1860 by Jacques Didisheim in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, is celebrated for its artistic innovation and fine case craftsmanship. In the early 20th century, Juvenia led in combining high precision mechanical movements with elegant Art Nouveau inspired case designs. This 18K solid gold full hunter timepiece exemplifies that harmony, pairing radiating sunburst guilloché covers decorated with delicate floral motifs with a classic white enamel Breguet numeral dial and a signed Juvenia calibre.
