Gold open faced keyless lever watch

A fine Swiss 18 carat yellow gold open faced pocket watch by Movado, circa 1910. It has a mechanical crownwinding gilded movement with a lever escapement, compensation balance wheel, and spiral hairspring. The silvered dial shows black Arabic numerals for the hours, an outer minute track, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, and gold hands, signed Movado Sûreté. The timepiece is housed in a round threebody, 18 carat solid yellow gold open faced case. The reverse back cover is intricately chased with Louis XV style floral garlands and ribbon motifs framed by a leaf engraved bezel. It also has a fluted winding crown, a suspension bow, and a solid 18 carat gold inner protective cuvette engraved with exhibition awards Grand Diplôme d’Honneur / Fabrique Movado / Expositions Universelles Paris 1900 Liège 1905.
