A Swiss 18K yellow gold hunting cased pocket watch, made by Orion Watch Comp., circa 1900. It has a handwound mechanical movement with lever escapement. The signed white enamel dial features black Arabic numerals, an outer minute track, inner red 24 hour numerals, a sunk subsidiary seconds dial at 6, and antique Breguet hands. The smooth 18K yellow gold case has a double cuvette in 18K yellow gold, signed Orion.

The Orion Watch Company was based in Biel. Brandt & Hofmann, de Successeurs de Ferdinand Bachschmid, Welta & Orion SA. Ferdinand Bachschmid , Edgar Werner Brandt und Edouard Hofmann . Brandt & Hofmann took over the Bachschmid company between 1892 and 1896. Around 1925, the company was renamed Orion Watch Co. Ltd., Successeurs de Brandt & Hofmann. The company was still recorded in 1966 .
