Swiss open faced lever watch

A fine 18k pink gold Swiss, keyless, quarter-repeating dress watch by Patek Philippe & Cie., Genève, retailed by A. H. Rodanet & Cie. Paris, circa 1900. A solid, polished, monogrammed case back, hinged gold cuvette with inscription. White enamel dial with painted Arabic numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds dial. Blued steel spade hands.

A gilt movement, 21 jewels, straight-line counterpoised lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel flat balance spring, repeating on gongs by activating slide on the band. Dial and case signed, cuvette also signed by the retailer.
