Silver open faced pocket watch

A fine and rare, large Swiss, keyless, silver pocket watch, circa 1906. Made for the Hispanic Market by Vacheron & Constantin, Genève, retailed by Angel Santini, Buenos Aires. A solid, hinged silver cuvette, polished bezels and band, case back engine-turned. White enamel dial with painted radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds dial. Blued steel spade hands. A frosted gilt movement, 17 jewels, wolf’s tooth winding, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, swan-neck micrometre regulator. Dial signed by the retailer, case, cuvette and movement signed by Vacheron & Constantin.
