Gold open faced lever watch

A fine Swiss 18 carat yellow gold open faced pocket watch made by Patek Philippe & Co. in Geneva, circa 1900. This watch has a high grade mechanical bridge calibre movement with a swan neck regulator. The white enamel dial features black Arabic numerals for the hours, an outer railway minute track with red painted numerals at five minute intervals, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, and gilt Louis XV style hands. The round gold case, numbered, features a fluted crown with a circular bow and a pull tab (tirette) for time setting. The case, dial, and movement are all signed by Patek Philippe. A slight dent is visible on the caseband.
