Gold open faced keyless lever watch

A fine Swiss 18 carat yellow gold open faced pocket watch made by Patek Philippe in Geneva, circa 1900. It has a mechanical crown winding movement, signed Patek Philippe & Co Genève, with a lever escapement and a frosted gilded bridge layout exposing the winding train. The white enamel dial, signed Patek Philippe & Cie Genève, has black Roman numerals for the hours, a fine outer minute track with Arabic five minute numerals from 5 to 60, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, and gold Louis XV style hands.

The timepiece is housed in a smooth round three body, 18 carat solid yellow gold open faced case. The reverse back cover has an engraved monogram. It opens to reveal a solid 18 carat gold inner protective cuvette hand engraved with the maker’s signature Patek, Philippe & Co / Genève and the matching serial number, complete with a fluted winding crown and a sturdy round suspension bow.
