Gold open faced lever watch

A Swiss 18 carat yellow gold open faced pocket watch made by Omega, presented as a tuxedo watch, circa 1967. It has a hand wound mechanical movement, calibre 601, with lever escapement. The silvered dial features black painted applied baton hour markers, black painted straight hands, and a straight central second hand. The round case has a smooth bezel, a fluted crown (not original), a stylised bezel, and a clipped back engraved La librairie Hachette à Monsieur Pierre Nicot / 1936 – 1966. The case, dial, and movement are all signed Omega. The case is numbered, bears the Clé de Genève 26 for Ponti, Gennari & Co in Geneva, and the French oval BMF import hallmark.
