A very fine and rare mahogany and gilt brass 8 day going keyless deck lever chronometer with power reserve indication, achieved 1st class rating at the bureaux official de Saint-Imier on August 24th 1922. accompanied by the original Bulletin de Marche. This First Class Lever Chronometer Deck Watch was made by Longines in Saint-Imier, Switzerland, circa 1920. Two body mahogany deck box with applied brass ‘Longines’ on the lid, the interior with a further applied gilt brass signature plaque and Extrait du Bulletin de Marche, gilt brass case with reeded bezel and gilt brass cuvette.
Matte silver dial with champlevé radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds, power reserve and blued steel spade hands. Matte gilt movement with 19 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring with Phillips terminal curve and a micrometre regulator.
Dial, case and movement signed.
