A Swiss antimagnetic hunting cased pocket watch with chronograph, Chronographe Antimagnetique, circa 1900. This pocket watch is housed within an 18-carat gold engine-turned case with a signed gold dome and a pusher for the chronograph function located at 6. The enamel dial is also signed and displays Arabic Empire numerals, with auxiliary seconds located at 9, a 15-minute counter, a centre chronograph hand, and blued spade hands. The watch’s movement is a 4/5 plate design that is frosted, gilt, and finely ground. The chronograph steel parts are bevelled, and it features a ratchet wheel, a screw compensation balance, a palladium balance spring, and an antimagnetic beryllium bronze lever and escape wheel.
