A very fine and rare thin 18 Carat yellow gold platinum enamel and rose cut diamond set keyless, dress watch. Made by Wegelin Fils in Genève, Switzerland, circa 1920. Three body and bassine case, the back overlaid with black enamel, bezel en suite, band and bow set with rose cut diamonds and the winding crown set with a cabochon black onyx.
Brushed silver dial champlevé Breguet numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds and blued steel Breguet hands. Rhodium-plated movement with Geneva striping decoration, stamped twice with the Seal of Geneva Quality Mark, 18 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with blued steel flat balance spring and an index regulator.
