Chased silver watch with monogram

A Swiss chased silver open faced lever pocket watch with monogram made by Vacheron Constantin in Geneva, circa 1901. This watch features a mechanical movement with moustache lever escapement, a bimetallic compensated balance wheel, and a blued steel Breguet balance spring. It has a white enamel dial with painted Roman numerals for hours and Arabic numerals for minutes, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, and rose gold Louis XV hands. The chased silver case was once nielloed, with traces visible on the case band around the winder. It is complemented by rose gold hinges and opening notches. The reverse is monogrammed and includes a silver bowl engraved with Vacheron Constantin, Genève, Chronomètre.
