Silver watch with a beautiful silver dial

An English silver open faced keyless pocket watch, circa 1882. An engine turned case back, with in the centre an escutcheon inside a belt design, fluted case band. A silver engine turned dial with applied radial yellow gold Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds at 6 and yellow gold Pear hands. Gilded brass movement, fusee and chain, lateral lever escapement, monometallic balance (polished steel) and blued steel flat hairspring, engraved gilded English cock with a shell and foliage. The case is signed with “C.H”, probably Charles Harris, Coventry, Master case maker registered in July 1878 and September 1893; Chester letter-date for 1882. The movement is signed.
