A new old stock split seconds chronograph for the Olympic Games 1964 in completely original condition, with original Omega advertising brochure, made by Omega SA in Biel, Switzerland, circa 1964. The open faced case of this watch was crafted from metal, is coated and comes in an original red transport case with carrying strap. The blackened silver dial features painted Arabic hours, an outer minute division, an outermost white chapter ring with markers indicating the 1/10ths of a second and Arabic numerals for the 60 seconds, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, a 30 minute register at 12 o’clock and original steel baton hands. The numbered movement features a lever escapement and a split seconds chronograph with a 30 minute counter.
The dial, movement and transport case are signed.
