–
A Swiss heavy, large and complicated 14 carat gold hunting cased astronomical pocket watch made for the Russian market, circa 1900. This timepiece boasts a glazed, highly intricate Swiss precision lever movement with seven complications. It features a full calendar, moon phases, moon age, a minute repeater and chronograph. The original white enamel dial showcases Roman hour numerals, outer minute divisions, an outermost fifth of a second track calibrated from 0 to 300, two central windows for digital indication of the weekdays and months in Cyrillic, the date at 12 o’clock, the phases of the moon with concentric subsidiary seconds at 6 and pink gold hands. The engine turned case has a vacant cartouche on the front cover and includes a cuvette inscribed with the technical details.
