A decorative Swiss graduate’s work in a Niello silver case by Watchmaking School Technicum La Chaux de Fonds, circa 1923.
The case is made of Niello silver and has Art Nouveau Lilly decor, and a case maker’s punch mark Niel HF (Huguenin Frères / Huguenin Frères & Co. / Fabrique Niel). The enamel dial has Arabic numerals, auxiliary seconds, and blued Breguet hands. And the rhodium-plated bridge movement has finely ground and bevelled chronograph steel parts, a ratchet wheel, two hammers / two gongs, a governor for repetition, and gold screw compensation balance.
