A fine and rare German, hunting cased, heavy 18K gold keyless pocket watch, circa 1872. A massive, heavy case, coin-edge band. Hinged gold cuvette. White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds. Blued steel spade hands. A frosted gilt movement, three-quarter plate, 18 jewels, gold straight-line lever escapement, diamond endstone, Glashütte cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel balance spring with a terminal curve. Signed on the movement and on the dial by the retailer.
