A Swiss 14 carat gold and enamel, pearl set, eight day going keyless fob watch with Paul Perret special compensation balance, circa 1900. Made for the Chinese market. The band features enamel foliate decoration, the front and the back with painted enamel scenes of a courting couple, on the front a portrait of a lady, bezel pearl set. White enamel eccentric dial with Roman numerals, outer gilt floral decoration, visible balance and blued steel spade hands. Gilt brass movement, inverted Hebdomas patented calibre with extra large barrel on the back, straight fine lever escapement, Paul Perret bimetallic balance, Breguet balance spring.
