A fine 18 carat gold and painted on enamel keyless pocket watch. The case made by Vacheron & Constantin, Genève circa 1900 and a non Vacheron movement and dial were added later. Four body, form collier and polished case with engine turned band, the hinged back cover decorated with a grisaille coat of arms and the motto ‘Nil Inane’ beneath a coronet and a hinged gold cuvette.
White dial with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, subsidiary seconds and blued steel Breguet hands. Nickel-plated foliate engraved movement with 15 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, flat balance spring and shock absorber.
Cuvette signed Vacheron & Constantin and numbered, movement signed Nil Inane.
