An exceptionally large and heavy Swiss  14 carat gold half hunting cased calendar, minute repeating, chronograph watch, circa 1900. Very fine Swiss precision jewelled lever movement, patent number 31798, two polished steel hammers for striking the hours, quarters and minutes on coiled gongs.
White enamel dial, Roman numerals, subsidiary dials for constant seconds combined with moon phases and for an unusual 30-minute counter and date function within a scale, counter with jumping minutes, two apertures for months and days in German.
Polished case, glazed aperture with black Roman numerals, case opened by depressing the button in the pendant.
