A very fine Swiss 18K gold musical watch playing on the hour or at will, with quarter repeating, circa 1820. Gilt brass movement, fixed barrel, cylinder escapement, three-arm gold balance with flat balance spring, sur plateau pinned disc musical movement, 25 tuned vibrating blades acting on both sides of the pinned disc, repeating on gongs by depressing the pendant.
Case, engine-turned, gilt hinged cuvette, slide at 1 o’clock to activate the music, slide at 2 for music/silent.on gongs by depressing the pendant.
White enamel dial with Breguet numerals and outer minute track. Gilt Cathedral hands.
