A very fine and very rare English, 18K gold, triple-cased, quarter striking two-train clock watch, circa 1800. Clockwatch is made for the Islamic Market by Daniel de St. Leu to Her Majesty, London. Gold champlevé dial with Islamic numerals, outer minute track and Islamic five-minute numerals. Blued steel beetle and poker hands.

Outer case; tortoiseshell-covered, the back with gold floral piqué work decoration, the bezel with sound-holes. The second case; Finely engraved with flowers within three repousse scroll cartouches, the border and bezel finely pierced and engraved with foliate scrolls. Inner case; The back is pierced and engraved with foliage and engraved with flowers. Gilt brass dust cap.

A gilt brass movement, full plate, two-train, with turned pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain brass three-armed balance, gilt brass cock pierced and engraved with scrolling foliage, diamond endstone, silver regulation disc, striking train with fixed gilt brass barrels and revolving arbour, striking on a bell and signed by Drury, with strike/silent selection lever protruding under the bezel. Dial, dust cap and movement signed. Property of a Swiss Collector.
