An elegant French art deco style platinum, diamond and coral-set lady’s lapel watch, circa 1900. A rectangular case with canted corners, foliate engraved band, bezel set with round diamonds, terminal set with diamonds and a carved coral flower, finial set with baguette and round diamonds, black ribbon and brooch further set with diamonds, winding crown set with a cabochon sapphire. Brushed silver dial, signed Cartier Paris, Arabic numerals and blued steel feuille hands. A rhodium-plated movement, 17 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, self-compensating flat balance spring, and an index regulator. Dial signed Cartier, Paris. Movement signed Norman Watch Co.
