A fine English 18 carat gold pocket watch, circa 1800. The case with London hallmarks for 1810-1811. A consular, polished case, fixed cuvette. White enamel dial, radial Roman numerals, outer minute divisions, subsidiary seconds dial with Arabic four-second numerals and yellow gold pear hands. Hinged, gilt brass, full plate movement, cylindrical pillars, eight jewels, verge escapement, three in screwed chatons, fusee with chain, Harrison’s maintaining power, cut bimetallic compensation balance with external temperature and meantime adjustment screws, free-sprung blued steel helical balance spring with terminal curves, diamond endstone, foliate engraved clock.
