A fine and rare Swiss yellow gold and enamel beetle form pendant watch, made for the Chinese market, circa 1900, circular jeweled nickel lever movement.
Concealed silvered dial, stylized Arabic numeral, gold beetle form case, chased head with cabochon set eyes, thorax with black enamel, diamond set wings with translucent enamel in tones of red and burgundy over engine turning, the reverse realistically chased, unsigned, with a matching chain spaced by enameled bars.
