A fine Swiss 18K frosted gold, enamel and diamond-set hunting cased minute repeating astronomical keyless lever pocket watch with triple date, moon phases and chronograph made for the Indian market, circa 1900. Retailed by M.J. Pack, Bombay & Paris. Comes with a fine 18K gold fancy link chain. The front cover with a polychrome enamel portrait of a polo player within a horse-shoe set with eight rose-cut diamonds, the back cover is decorated with a finely painted enamel scene of two polo players on their horses, a rose-cut diamond ball, engraved leaves and a fence below set with eight rose-cut diamonds. Hinged gold cuvette inscribed with the technical details.

White enamel dial with radial Roman hours, outer minute divisions and concentric fifths of a second track calibrated to 300, constant seconds combined with the phases of the moon at 6 o’clock, subsidiary dials for the days of the week and date, an aperture for the months, and gold Louis XV hands. Frosted gilt movement, 30 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, swan-neck micrometre regulation, repeating on gongs activated by a slide in the band. Cuvette signed.
