Gold minute repeating clock watch

A very fine 18k gold Swiss hunting cased keyless quarter striking minute repeating clock watch made for the Canadian market, circa 1900. Attributable to Louis Montandon, Swiss. White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track, sunk subsidiary seconds dial, and blued steel spade hands. Gold hinged cuvette.

Half-plate nickel-silver movement, double train, 30 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, repeating on gongs by a push-button on the band Strike/Silent at 2 o’clock. Case and movement numbered.
