Gold hunting cased chronograph and tachometer watch by Zenith
–
A very fine Swiss hunting cased pocket watch with chronograph and tachy scale, circa 1917. This timepiece features an 18 carat gold case that is lavishly engine turned and elegantly engraved with floral designs. It has a signed gold dome along with a presentation engraving acknowledging a date of January 1, 1926, in both Pakistani and Arabic characters on the inner lid. The watch includes a pusher for the chronograph located at the 6 o’clock position.  The enamel dial is signed and displays Arabic numerals, an auxiliary seconds subdial, a 30 minute counter, a tachymetric scale, an inner 24 hour indication, and blued spade hands. The movement is a 2/3 plate design, frosted and gilt, featuring chatoned construction. It includes finely ground and bevelled chronograph steel parts, a ratchet wheel, a screw compensation balance, and a cam-type fine-adjusting device.
