A very fine, extraordinary large minute repeating hunting cased pocket watch with chronograph for the South-American market, circa 1900. 18k pink gold case, engine turned, monogrammed, à goutte, numbered and signed gold dome with presentation engraving:”La Fraternidad Maquinistas y Foguistas del F.C.S. al Senor J. P. Marcilese”, pusher for chronograph at “12”, slide for repeating mechanism. Enamel dial, Arabic numerals, auxiliary seconds, blued spade hands. Bridge movement, rhodium plated, “fausses côtes” decoration, very finely ground and bevelled chronograph steel parts, ratchet wheel, 2 hammers, 2 gongs, wolfteeth winding wheels, screw compensation balance.
