A large and heavy Swiss complicated 14 carat gold hunting cased quarter repeating astronomical chronograph pocket watch with triple calendar and moon phases made by Louis Brandt & Fils, circa 1900. The plain case is punched with maker’s mark LBF for Louis Brandt & Fils. The white enamel dial has Arabic hours, an outer minute track, outermost chronograph register for time measurement with an accuracy of fifths of a second and Arabic five minute numerals, the date at 12 o’clock, apertures for digital indication of the weekdays and months, subsidiary seconds at 6 with concentric phases of the moon, a center chronograph hand and pink gold Louis XV hands. The Swiss lever movement repeats the hours and quarter hours.
