A very fine, rare, and important Swiss 18K gold astronomical keyless pocket watch, circa 1920. With moon phase, perpetual calendar, minute repeating, split-second chronograph and 60-minute register. A solid case, gold-hinged cuvette. White enamel dial, radial Arabic numerals. Outer minute/seconds divisions with black Arabic five-minute/seconds markers, four subsidiary dials for days of the week, date, and months, concentric with four-year leap cycle, 60 minute-counter, aperture for moon phase with constant seconds and gold spade hands. Rhodium plated movement, Geneva striping decoration, 37 jewels, straight-line calibrated lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, chronograph through the crown and split mechanism set on the back plate, repeating on gongs through activating slide in the band. Signed on dial, case and movement.
