Gold open faced keyless lever watch
–
A fine Swiss 18 carat yellow gold open faced keyless lever chronometer pocket watch with vest chain made by Zenith, circa 1900. It has a mechanical crown winding movement with a lever escapement adjusted to chronometric precision, engineered to participate in the prestigious 1900 Paris Grand Prix, signed Zenith. The mother of pearl dial features black Arabic numerals for the hours, fine outer minute dots, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, and sleek Breguet style hands. The timepiece is housed in a smooth round double body 18 carat solid yellow gold open faced case with a plain polished reverse back cover, a fluted winding crown, and a sturdy round suspension bow. The pocket watch comes with its original matching yellow gold vest chain with a secure spring ring clasp.
