This style of the watch was occasionally made by the best Swiss watchmakers in response to the late 19th-century fashion for the arts of pre-revolutionary France. The present watch is an almost perfect representation of the watches of the late Louis XV period but with the advantage of a keyless movement.

Signed: LeCoultre Genève
