Remarkable gold, enamel verge pear watch

A magnificent, precious gold/enamel Swiss watch shaped like a pear, probably from Geneva, circa 1820. The watch is made of 18K gold and has a pear-shaped case which is elaborately designed with gold and enamel. The design is three-coloured, and in the upper area, there are four cartouches with a black background that surround various relief motifs featuring birds, baskets, and blossoms. On the underside of the watch, there is a stretched umbrella, which is also very elaborately enamelled. The watch has a verge movement with an enamel dial, but it requires an overhaul or restoration. The enamelled case rim has some imperfections.
