A gentleman’s very fine quarter repeating pocket watch by a pupil of Abraham Louis Breguet, circa 1820. 18k gold case, engine turned, numbered and signed gold dome. Dial is enamel, radial Roman numerals, blued Breguet hands. Bridge movement, keywind, frosted, gilt, blued screws, 2 hammers, 2 gongs, shock protection “parachute”, three arm brass balance, temperature-compensating balance spring.
