A very fine, rare German 18-carat pink gold hunting-cased minute repeating pocket watch, circa 1889. Glazed, nickel-plated 4/5 plate movement, lavishly decorated, two hammers, two gongs, gold screwed compensation balance, blued balance spring, florally hand-engraved balance cock, index spring fine adjusting device, gold lever and escape wheel, chatoned diamond endstone on balance. Gold cuvette. White enamel dial with Arabic Empire numerals and gold Louis XV hands. Plain Louis XV case, à goutte, slide for repeating mechanism. Dial and movement signed and numbered.
