Gold cylinder lady’s pendant watch

A fine Swiss, keyless, 18K varicoloured gold and enamel lady’s pendant watch with gold, enamel and rose-cut diamond-set bow brooch, circa 1900. Retailed by Gustave Sandoz, Horloger de la Marine, Palais Royal 146, 147, 148, Paris. The bezel with applied varicoloured gold flowers and scrolls, the back cover overlaid with translucent red enamel over sunray engine-turning, offset gold cartouche engraved with initials NM, border to match the bezel.

Hinged gold cuvette. White enamel dial with radial Arabic numerals within oval gold paillon borders, outer minute track and outer gold pyramidal five-minute indexes. Gilt Louis XV hands. A matte gilt movement, bar calibre, eight jewels, cylinder escapement, three-arm brass balance, blued steel flat balance spring, index regulator. Cuvette signed.
