Gold hunting cased lever pocket watch by LeCoultre & Co.
–
A heavy, rare Swiss hunting cased pocket watch, The Blacksmiths, featuring a minute repeater and two Jacquemarts, circa 1900. This exquisite watch features an 18K gold polished case and an enamel dial adorned with radial Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds, and an outer minutes track with Arabic five-minute numerals. The Louis XV-style hands add a touch of elegance, while the dial’s centre showcases two opposing polychrome-painted blacksmith jacks standing at an anvil and hammering the work when the repeating is activated. The watch features a bridge movement, two hammers, two gongs, a lever escapement, and a gold screw compensation balance.
