A fine keyless winding hunting cased Swiss pocket watch with minute repeater movement, probably for the Chinese market, circa 1900. Gilt English-style three-quarter plate movement jewelled through the hammers, time train jewels in chatons, right angle escapement, bimetallic balance with blued overcoiled spring, simple index regulator, lever set, all-or-nothing repeat on gongs by means of slide on the band.
White enamel dial with roman chapters, subsidiary seconds, gilt hands set with brilliants.
Engine-turned case with glazed dust cap and cuvette. Movement, case and dial signed in Chinese characters, together with short gilt chain set at intervals with enamel plaques.
