A rare 18K gold IWCkeywinding pocket watch with extract from the archives and certificate of guarantee, circa 1979. An 18K gold, punched, plain case, back with spring lid, dome pressed, two holes for winding and setting the watch with one key (matching key included), key winding similar to the early pocket watches of the 19th century, very beautiful gilt bar movement, monometallic balance, Breguet hairspring, swan-neck fine adjusting device, shock absorber, Swiss pallet lever escapement, rubies, polished steel screws, bridge signed “International Watch Co. Twenty-One Jewels, Adj. to five Pos.” and IWC punch, original white lacquered dial, black Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds, fine black lacquered Breguet hands, dial also signed, movement, also optically nearly like new, with extract from the archives and certificate of guarantee, formerly sold on 16th/22nd of October 1979.
