A Swiss gentleman’s rare quarter repeating pocket watch with musical movement, circa 1820. The watch features an 18-carat gold engine-turned case with a reeded band and a slide to silence it. The enamel dial has radial Roman numerals and blued spade hands. The movement of the watch has a gilt bridge, two hammers, and two gongs, as well as two barrels. It also includes a musical movement with tuned vibrating blades and pinned disc, cylinder escapement, three-arm brass balance, blued balance spring, and keywind.
