A very fine, thin Swiss, 18K gold keyless, dress watch with chronograph, register and pulsometer, circa 1920. Doctor’s Chronograph by Audemars Piguet & Co., Brassus & Geneve. Made circa 1920 for the Hispanic market. A solid, polished case, concealed hinge, the back with engraved monogram. Hinged gold cuvette. White enamel dial with painted Breguet numerals, outer minute and 1/5th seconds chronograph divisions, outermost pulsometer scale in red, 60-minute register at 12, subsidiary seconds dial at 6. Black Breguet hands.

A rhodium-plated movement, Geneva striping decoration, 23 jewels, straight-line counterpoised lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, swan-neck micrometre regulator, visible chronograph mechanism. Dial and movement signed, case numbered. Property of a Japanese Collector.
