Gold open faced chronograph with register by Ed. Heuer & Co

A Swiss 14 carat yellow gold open faced split seconds chronograph keyless lever pocket watch with a 30 minute recorder, circa 1920. The round shaped case made by Illinois Watch Case Co, Elgin, Illinois, U.S.A., the back guilloché with a central blank shield shaped cartouche, the 1/5th of a second chronograph activated by the single round push piece located on the winding crown, the split seconds activated by the rectangular push piece located on the case band at 1 o’clock. White enamel dial with radial Breguet style Arabic hours, outer minutes/seconds track with red Arabic five minute/seconds numerals, subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock, a half instantaneous 30 minute register at 12 and original pear hands. Movement with a lever escapement. Accompanied by copies of the invention patents.
