An early and important copper gilt, enamel pre balance spring verge pocket watch, signed by Pierre Duhamel, Switzerland (Genèva), 1660-1670. Enamel dial with a translucent dark blue centre, chapter ring with small flowers, Roman numerals, full plate movement, chain/fusee, three-arm brass balance. The back has a portrait of young men in the centre. Verge escapement pierced and engraved balance cock.
