A very fine and elegant American, 14K gold keyless dress watch, circa 1910. A solid, polished, gold-hinged cuvette with a circular engine-turned border. White enamel dial with Arabic numerals, outer minute ring with five-minute red markers, sunk subsidiary seconds dial. Blued steel spade hands. A nickel, bridge calibre movement, Geneva striping decoration, 19 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut-bimetallic compensation balance adjusted to temperature and three positions, blued steel Breguet balance spring, swan-neck micrometre regulator, sapphire pallets. Dial, case and movement signed; the movement also engraved Pat’d’08.
